The following are the announcements as published in our weekly “Saint Matthew’s Matters” bulletin insert:

From The Samaritans: Saint Cecilia’s Shelter
The Samaritans really celebrated St. Patrick’s day and so did our clients at the St. Cecilia’s Homeless shelter in Englewood. They had corned beef and cabbage too.
I would like to thank all who helped serve, namely Anneliese Schmidt, Lynne Helming, Ed Geiger, and Jeff Browne. Those who made a dessert includes Deb Bigbee, Ruth Andl, Karin DeRosa, Inge Eicher, Leslie Maro, and Bill Muller. Also. I must give my appreciation to Adam Wong for his kind gift of Terra chips, enough for each client. Most of all, I must thank Pastor for being my moral supporter to the end. Thank you all very much.
Help, Help Again!!
I know I just asked for desserts, BUT, on April 6th, the Samaritans again will be busy at the walk-in kitchen in Hackensack. The Inter-religious Group guesstimates there will be 150 coming. We will need desserts for them. Please sign up on the sheet in the back of the church. It is only 15 days from today. Any questions, please call me at (201) 567-6820

From the Vision Committee: Shop-Rite Gift Cards
Do you shop at Shop-Rite?
Now you can help Saint Matthew’s every time you go to Shop Rite (especially in New Milford) and pick up groceries.
Our Vision team is selling Shop-Rite gift cards in $50 and $100 denominations. Saint Matthew’s receives a percentage of these sales and helps with our mission outreach. Please pick up a card after church today—speak with Debbie Bigbee for more info and to pick up a gift card!

A Note from the Treasurer
Some suggestions to reduce our year-to-date deficit would be:
- Double up every 10th envelope
- Use designated gift envelope for “Christmas present of the month”
- When you miss a Sunday, make it up in your envelop
- Increase weekly envelope amount
